SG Maria Amada Chapel
Chapel of the Servant of God Maria Amada
It is located to the side of the main entrance of the house. It is dedicated to the Sacred Heart of Jesus and to the Blessed Virgin of Guadalupe, whose images inspire welcome, peace and confidence. It is a space of meditation and recollection - in the midst of the noise of this
busy city - for anyone who wishes to take advantage of it. Just touch the door, identify yourself and express your intention to get inside to pray.
In this small oratory, next to a black granite cross, in a wooden urn of Machiche, the remains of the Servant of God, María Amada del Niño Jesús, are guarded. Here they were moved and placed, after her body was exhumed in February 2011, because until then they were buried in the Jardin Pantheon, on the south of Mexico City. This process was carried out in compliance with the ecclesiastical norms for the canonization processes, so that the remains of the Servant of God are more accessible to those who wish to visit it and entrust themselves to their intercession in their needs.
This oratory is the work of Architect Eduardo Javier Gerardo Cortés Peñafiel, who professionally designed the adaptation of the space that occupied the reception room of the Mother House.
