Our congregational mission within the Church is to extend the Kingdom of the Heart of Jesus in us and in others by any means possible according to the Constitutions.
Our Congregation, which from its origins assumed as a urgent goal the christian education of poor children, and has the primary apostolate to educate the new generations. In fulfilling this task, we accepted the challenge to introduce us to the world of education, and be radical witnesses in the educational community of the goods of the Kingdom.
Therefore, we must exercise this apostolate adapting it to the needs of time and place, according to our Education Model and taking into account the guidelines of the Episcopal Conference and the Ordinary of the Place.
Aware of the consequent responsibility of the noble mission of education, we will make our schools real centers of spiritual, moral, and intellectual formation.
“Let the little children come to me, and do not stop them” (Matthew19:14)
Boarding schools are still a pressing need given the reality of family breakdown that exists in today's society. The purpose of this ministry it is to form well-rounded identities of boys and girls in trust in our care and cooperate in the task of home education, and get them ready for life, so in the future they´ll become responsibly persons and authentic christians in society.
Taking into account the values of our Charisma and the charity that flows from the Heart of Christ, we will welcome children that He sent to them, to do for them the most good possible according to the wishes and guidance of Our Founder Mother. In our boarding schools we will only accept those who come voluntarily and by necessity, never by forced or as a punishment.
Collaboration in the priestly ministry
According to our founding charisma, service to the priestly ministry is a task that allows us to work on the extension of the Reign of Christ, to work together for the glory of God especially through prayer, testimony, and surrender. Mother Maria Amada said: "I'm on missions and working on the edification of the Holy Church, contributing a tiny grain of sand in which these priests are saints and great saints." " With our work and sacrifice, we cooperate in the formation of future priests who will work in the salvation of souls."
Our attitude in this mission should be of humble service, hidden, with a spirit of faith and love, imitating the Blessed Virgin Mary in her responsible work and love, so that we contribute to the work of salvation that Jesus continues to make in union with the Father.
We can make this apostolate possible based on the parish: offices, catechesis, liturgy, and other parish areas as well as in communities of priests, seminaries and retreat houses.
"Ad Gentes" Mission
One of our primary tasks it is to proclaim Christ to all peoples so that the Gospel may reach all men, and the Reign of the Heart of Christ becomes a reality in the world. According to the great desire of our Founder Mother "The whole earth seems a small field to conquer for my ambition to glorify, let to know, and love the One Love."
Based on this missionary charismatic dimension, and as example of Santa Maria de Guadalupe, our congregation can collaborate in the "Ad Gentes" mission of the Church in any part of the world that is requested by the competent ecclesiastical authority.
The indigenous people occupy a special place as recipients of our apostolic mission, as our Founder Mother understood in faith, that the Blessed Virgin of Guadalupe entrusted her with the " insinuating plea and order saying : My daughter I put you in charge of my indigenous people, work for them, and love them so much! Nobody thinks of them, they are seem with so much contempt and indifference. " Mother Maria Amada with commitment and generosity took this assignment, undertaking in favor of the indigenous people several works to meet their needs, both material and spiritual.
Our Congregation endorses the aspirations of our Founder Mother and in them discovers the will of the Heart of Jesus. So it is keen to preserve and promote the communities embedded in indigenous areas, open others where the need is most urgent and ensure that we comply with them in the commitment to work in order to do the most good for our brothers.
We will execute our apostolic mission in indigenous communities moved by a great zeal. Following the example of Saint Mary of Guadalupe, who welcomed, respected, and lifted up St. Juan Diego in his own culture and brought him to the knowledge of the true God for whom we live.
All communities with ecclesial spirit will be responsible with the Missionary Work of the Church, and particularly with our sisters who work in assimilated communities and “Ad Gentes” Missions, being sensitive to their needs. In doing so, we will obey the desires of our Founder Mother and follow her example.
Diocesan and Parochial Pastoral Ministry
By our missionary charisma, we, the sisters, cooperate with the church in the diocesan and parochial ministry forming authentic Christians. So with their personal conversion and good works, they will glorify the Father and become apostles of the Reign of the Jesus´ Hearth, and therefore contributing to the transformation of society by living the human and spiritual values.
In this ministry we will integrate the pastoral plans at different levels, in order to maintain a close communion with the pastors of the Church. We will pursue our evangelizing service taking care with special emphasis for the poor, simple and astray.
“At sunset, all who had people sick with various diseases brought them to him. He laid his hands on each of them and cured them.” (Luke 4:40) Consecrated persons prolong the mystery of the mercy of Christ who went about doing good and healing all the sick who were presented to him (cf Acts 10:38).
"The word of God challenges us in many ways to respect and value our elders, and even invites us to learn from them with gratitude, and support them in their loneliness and fragility" (Aparecida, 448). Likewise, the Church, committed to those who suffer, exhorts us to "ensure humane and comprehensive care for all older people, also helping them to live following Christ in their present condition, and incorporating them as much as possible to the evangelization mission."
Encouraged by the Lord's invitation, we carry out this mission with the elderly, trying to incarnate in us the love of the Heart of Jesus for them. Helping them to appreciate this stage of their lives, to increase the flame of faith, and to live following Christ in their present condition. So they can take part in the Paschal Mystery and live in grace and friendship with God in the twilight of their existence. In this way we wish to contribute, so the Heart of Jesus reigns in all these tired members of His Mystical Body.
